Garret Bonosky brings over seven years of nonprofit and public sector experience. Before joining AKB Strategies, Garret served as the manager of internal and strategic development for the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), and helped Critical Mass: The Young Adult Cancer Alliance introduce the bipartisan Deferment for Active Cancer Treatment Act of 2017 and executed the nonprofit’s marketing strategy to oppose the repeal of the federal Affordable Care Act in 2017.
Garret also served in operations and special project management roles for the 2016 Hillary Clinton coordinated presidential campaign in Florida. Before spending time in the sunshine state, Garret served as the Deputy Director of the Chair’s Office at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), traveling to 29 states over 15 months to ensure the success of more than 340 events. While at the DNC Garret liaised with all departments to gather and analyze information to develop a long term political strategy for the chair. Garret has worked in the United States House of Representatives and served in the Office of Federal Affairs for New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, aiding with various legislative issues including helping to solidify the $52 billion Hurricane Sandy federal relief package.
Garret resides in Washington, DC and holds a B.A. in communications, legal institutions, economics and government (CLEG) from American University.
